Europe accounts for 70 percent of Global Biodiesel Production

By 2015, the global biodiesel market value is likely to achieve a value of $62 billion, representing a growth rate of 26% p/a between 2005-2015. In volume terms, this is equivalent to 26 billion gallons, according to a new report available from companiesandmarkets.com

Biodiesel and Feedstocks: A Global Market Outlook

In 2009 worldwide biodiesel production capacity was in the region of 14.7 billion gallons, a figure which is expected to increase dramatically over the reporting period. There are clusters of biodiesel production activity in the US and Germany, and while the Asia-Pacific regions are showing signs of rapid growth, these regions are likely to remain as dominant markets in terms of production.

Europe is currently the largest global biodiesel market and is expected to stay that way during the reporting period, representing 70% of global biodiesel production.
